Fence torched in Chatham Voice

Police are investigating after someone lit a fence on fire at an address on Birchwood Street in Chatham Tuesday.

It was determined that the victim’s fence was intentionally set on fire, causing approximately $3,000 damage.

B&E, theft charges

On Tuesday morning at 8 a.m., police responded to an address on Lanz Boulevard in Blenheim in regard to a break and enter that had occurred overnight.

An unknown suspect forced their way into a garage and stole a 2014 Cadillac. Through investigation, Police tracked the vehicle to a residence on Park Street in Chatham.

Officers located the vehicle and discovered a man inside the car.

The male was arrested for possession of stolen property. He was also found to be in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine and fentanyl. He was further charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking.

B&E in Blenheim

C-K police are investigating a church break-in.

On Tuesday afternoon, officers attended a church on Chatham Street in Blenheim. Sometime over the last week, someone gained entry into a shed on the property and stole a rototiller and a gold cart.
