Friday, August 14, 2026:
• Join us at The Chatham Legion, 39 William St. N. Chatham from 11 am-10pm. The kitchen is open to serve lunch from 11am-1:30pm. Tonight’s Dinner Specials from 4pm-5:30pm are Fish & Chips or Cabbage Rolls $15 (HST Included) No orders after 5:30 p.m. Take out is also available by calling 519-351-8733 or 519-351-5639. • Something different to experience—ghost stories told around a fire. We will be offering a final ghost walk that will take place outdoors behind the Sons of Kent at 8:00pm only. Tickets are on sale for this event, restricted to age 19 and over at www.eventbrite.com. Limited spots will be available. Adult tickets are $16 plus Eventbrite fees. • Ladies Auxiliary Euchre Tournament. Registration at 12pm. Play 1pm -4pm. BBQ available from 11am-3pm. Members & non-members welcome.

• Two Creeks welcomes 89NEXT to its stage at 6pm.  This band is an energetic powerhouse of rock  featuring the hits of the 90’s and the 2000’s.  Food and drink by the Scouts. No admission, but we do pass the hat. 

• Breakfast at the Chatham Moose Lodge, 850 Richmond St. from 9 AM until Noon.  All meals are cooked to order.  Everybody welcome.

• CK Pride Flag Raising. Celebrate the official start of Pride Week at the Chatham Civic Centre. A short ceremony begins at 12 noon.

Tuesday, August 18, 2026:
• Are you looking for a place that leads children to contemplation, wonder, and joy? The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is a time-tested approach to Christian faith formation. It feeds the deepest needs of children, allowing each one to know God personally. Through hand-made materials and an environment prepared for them, children experience the most essential truths of scripture and liturgy, and come to know the voice of their Good Shepherd. Our atrium (program) takes place on Tuesdays, 4:30-5:30pm, for children 3-6 years old. St. James the Apostle Anglican, 707 James Street, Wallaceburg. For more info, call: (647)781-6142. Snacks and childcare for younger siblings are provided. On certain weeks, we offer family dinner right after the program.

• CK Pride Parade. The parade begins at 11 a.m. along King Street in downtown Chatham. Individuals are welcome to join the Rainbow Marchers behind the CK Pride float. No registration is required. Arrive between 10 and 10:30 a.m.
 
• CK PrideFest. Celebrate from 12 noon to 4 p.m. at Harvey and Centre Streets with entertainment by Captain Finn & the Salty Sea Dogs, info booths, street vendor fair, the all inclusive Norsefolk Viking Re-enactment Zone, and a 36-foot inflatable rainbow waterslide. Free entry!
 
• 3rd Annual LipsynCK Slaytacular. Cheer on drag performers from 1 to 3 p.m. at Harvey and Centre Streets during this high-energy lip sync competition at PrideFest. Free entry!

• National Dog Day! Chatham Retirement Resort is opening our doors to the community at 1:30pm for a fun-filled afternoon celebrating our four-legged friends. Whether you’re a dog owner, an animal lover, or simply looking for a wonderful community event, everyone is welcome to attend. Guests can enjoy: A Puppy Tricks & Training Demonstration.  A special presentation from Chatham-Kent Animal Rescue, including a visit from one of their rescue dogs and information about the incredible work they do in our community.  A Donation Drive in support of Chatham-Kent Animal Rescue. Donations of pet food, blankets, toys, cleaning supplies, and other pet essentials are greatly appreciated. A Dog Photo Booth complete with fun props and a Facebook photo contest for a chance to win a dog-themed gift basket. Our “Meet Our Resident Dogs” display featuring photos and stories of our residents, staff, and their beloved pet. Free pet food samples and coupons courtesy of Boreal Pet Food, whose representative will also be joining us for the afternoon. This event is a wonderful opportunity to bring together our residents and the community while supporting a fantastic local organization dedicated to helping animals in need.

Soprano, alto, tenor or bass– we want you! The CK Singers community choir begins a new session of having fun learning music in four parts at 7 pm at First Presbyterian Church. New members most welcome and there is no need to read music to sing with us. Practices go from 7-9pm with a fifteen- minute refreshment break. We perform at retirement and nursing homes, at volunteer appreciation dinners, monthly club meetings or wherever we can fit in 25-30 people. • Jordan’s Run the Runway at the Chatham-Kent Municipal Airport. Now in its third year in Chatham-Kent, Jordan’s Run the Runway, presented by Siskinds LLP, is a one-of-a-kind fast and flat 5K run, walk, roll or pole.  To be held at the Chatham-Kent Municipal Airport from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. A rain or shine event, it is open to participants of all ages and abilities, offering an unforgettable evening of fun and celebration. Funds raised help to support financial assistance that allows low-income or vulnerable children, youth, families and seniors access to YMCA programs and services. • Help support the Veteren Tribute Garden. Ride your motorcycle in a led ride to the cenotaps in Chatham, Wallacebrug, Wheatley and Merlin. Ride starts at 11am at the Canadian Legion, 39 William St N., Chatham. $25/rider. $10/passenger. Tax receipt provided if needed. Pledge sheets & waivers available if needed [email protected]. Support the Legion by purchasing a burger/hotdog.

    Vendor Show April 18, 2026, 10am-2pm Good Shepherd School, 4 Edith St., Thamesville.
    Support small businesses while helping to raise funds for St. Paul’s Church. You’ll see clothing, jewelry, wellness products, 3D and crocheted toys, pet treats, home baking and much more. Stay for lunch!
