Chatham-Kent’s COVID-19 battle appears to be hunkering down before an April snowstorm, as there was just one new active case reported in the past 24 hours, against one deemed resolved.

Our active case number remains at 38.

One local resident is in hospital here battling COVID-19.

Playgrounds are open. Golf courses – adult outdoor playgrounds – remain closed.

Meanwhile, Ontario saw a substantial drop in the number of new cases over the past 24 hours, reporting 3,469 new COVID-19 cases. A day earlier, that number stood at 4,447. It topped 4,800 last Friday.
