C-K ministers ask folks to mask up

Editor: We, the ministers of the churches of Chatham-Kent, encourage everyone to wear masks, practice physical distancing and limit their social circles especially during this Christmas season in an effort to help curb the spread of the Covid-19 virus.

We ask this out of Christ’s command to “love God with all your heart, soul and mind, and to love your neighbour as yourself.”

While people may have differences of opinion on this matter, we believe that in this crisis, personal rights are secondary to those of the community at large. By working together, we demonstrate the love for our neighbour in a way that not only affirms our faith, but can help keep our community safe.

Loving our neighbour is the best gift we can give each other this Christmas and throughout the year.
