Mischief, drugs, theft and failures to comply – just another day in policing in Chatham-Kent.

Last night, the cops scratched one person off their Wanted List as an officer tracked the guy down on West Street in Chatham.

Police say the man fled when spotted, but was arrested after a short foot chase.

A 41-year-old Chatham man is charged with failing to comply with his probation order, uttering threats, disobeying a court order and assault.

Early yesterday morning, someone caused about $1,000 damage to construction equipment on Riverview Drive in Chatham.

Last night around 11:30 p.m., police got a call about a suspicious vehicle parked along the train tracks on Dillon Road.

As an officer approached the van, he noticed the driver had pills on him – 19 Percocets to be exact.
