6 nabbed in drug raid

Six people are facing charges following a drug bust in Chatham last night.

Officers from the Intelligence Section, with assistance from the Critical Incidence Response Team, raided a home on Jeffrey Street.

Police say the officers seized a quantity of hydromorphone, morphine, cocaine, crack, and methamphetamine. They also seized digital scales, cell phones, a surveillance system, drug paraphernalia and a stolen paint sprayer.

A 46-year-old Chatham man faces four counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, as well as failing to comply with his release conditions.

Five people, a 28-year-old Chatham man, a 27-year-old Stoney Point man, a 37-year-old Chatham woman, a 49-year-old Charing Cross man and a 27-year-old Lighthouse cove man all face charges of possession.

The 28-year-old also faces charges of breach of probation and possession of stolen property.
