Tart & Soul is set to return to local taste buds June 27.
The Tart & Soul Butter Tart Festival is looking to be bigger and sweeter than the inaugural offering in 2025, according to event organizer Doug Robbins.
“This family-friendly festival celebrates the best of butter tarts, soul music, local food, and community spirit – and this year there will be more Tartisans, more butter tarts, and more delicious creativity than ever before,” Robbins said in a media release.
Festival-goers can expect everything from traditional butter tarts to bold and unexpected flavour combinations, alongside a lineup of local makers, artisans, and food creators from across Southwestern Ontario.
“This festival was inspired by my mom’s love for butter tarts and the way food and music bring people together,” Robbins said. “Last year exceeded every expectation. This year we’re expanding the experience with more bakers, more music, and more reasons for people to come hungry.”
The festival continues to honour the traditions behind Canada’s iconic butter tart while creating a joyful space where families, food lovers, and music fans can connect.
“We always say Tart & Soul is where butter tarts meet soul,” Robbins said. “This is a feel-good festival. It’s about making memories, supporting local businesses, and celebrating the sweet things in life.”
Sons of Kent hosts the festivities June 27.
