Sir: Recently, some of our dear friends lost their beautiful daughter-in-law and granddaughter on Highway 401 driving from London to Rondeau. Their little boy is in Children’s Hospital in London.
Someone lost control of his pickup truck and crossed the median and hit them head on. If there had been proper barriers between the two directions of the highway, this would never have happened.
I understand the government promised these barriers in 2005. Where are they?
These were senseless deaths, easily preventable. Charging the driver for being on his phone solves nothing; the carnage continues.
We want those barriers up NOW.
