Sometimes they just don’t listen

On Wednesday morning, Chatham-Kent police responded to a residence in Dover Township in regard to a youth who was found in possession of a cell phone, contrary to his release conditions.

A 15-year-old youth was arrested and charged with failing to comply with his release conditions.

That same afternoon, shortly after his release, police say the youth returned to the residence and damaged the home with a hockey stick. The youth also damage a vehicle parked outside.

Police arrested the youth again and charged him with mischief and being in possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Stolen vehicle

Sometime over the past weekend, someone stole a 2020 black Ford F-150 Lariat pick-up truck from Tilbury Chrysler.

The truck was last seen with only a plate attached to the front indicating that the truck was a 2020 model.

Break and Enter in Chatham

Sometime early yesterday morning between 1 a.m. and 3 a.m., an unknown suspect forced their way into a storage room of an apartment building on Witherspoon Street, causing about $100 damage.

Police continue to work with the building manager to determine what, if anything, was stolen.
