On Wednesday, sometime between 10 a.m. and noon, someone entered a residence on Coverdale Street in Chatham and stole various electronics.

Through investigation, police learned that the stolen iPhone had been used to transfer money from the victim’s bank account.

Using a mobile application on the iPhone, the item was tracked to a residence on Park Avenue, where the suspect(s) had already sold the stolen iPhone and iPad.

Officers identified the pair they believe were responsible and they were arrested yesterday.

Bradley Hardy, 35, of Chatham has been charged with being in possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000, theft under $5000 and fraud under $5000.

Crystal McGee, 37, of Chatham has been charged with being in possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000.

Both were released pending a future court date of March 20.

Yesterday, a man walked into police headquarters to report that he had been assaulted by his ex-girlfriend.

Through investigation, police learned that during an argument, the woman punched the man and threw coffee at him.

The 34-year-old Chatham woman was arrested and charged with assault and assault with a weapon.

She was released pending a future court date of March 18.

Sometime between Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. and yesterday at 10:30 a.m. someone cut the lock to the gate at NRTC Automation on Lyon Avenue in Tilbury.

Approximately $1,000 worth of copper wire was stripped from used equipment on site.
