Kids who want the opportunity to toot their own horn, or any other instrument – can look no further than The Chatham Concert Band free Junior Program.

Registration for the program, open to students of all ages, typically age seven to adult, takes place Sept. 14 at 10 a.m. in the Kiwanis Bandshell at Tecumseh Park.

The Chatham Concert Band has provided free instruction in recorder and band instruments since the 1960s because its members believe the opportunity to learn instrumental music should be available to everyone, without financial restraints.

Classes are held Saturday mornings in the bandshell from September to June.
