OPP identify crash victim

Chatham-Kent OPP have identified the person killed Saturday night in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 40 southeast of Chatham.

Police say Bradford Hudson, 53, of Chatham died when the vehicle he was driving entered the intersection of Fairview Line and Highway 40 where it was hit by a northbound minivan.

Three more people were in the vehicles at the time of the crash. Ashley Hooper, 27, Tammy Austin, 46 and Stuart Hamblin, 44, all of Chatham, were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are continuing their investigation. The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation team is assisting.

Highway 40 was closed well into the evening between Park Avenue and Maynard Line.
