Editor: Most residents would agree that Chatham-Kent is an ideal place to live and raise a family. But did you know that C-K is also possibly the best place in Ontario to see and to photograph sunsets and sunrises without driving long distances?
Cell phone users and amateur photographers have an abundance of photos from this past winter season. Ask to see them!
Every season in Chatham-Kent presents enormous opportunities to showcase what we offer throughout the municipality. Such as winter scenes; nature; outdoor activities; spring planting of vegetables, fruits and grains; fall scenes of harvesting of same. Plus, summer photos of the many activities we have – baseball, soccer, and the list goes on!
I would like to see a large wall at 100 King or the Hub – in a common area, using strictly C-K photos to “brag about Chatham-Kent.
This wall should not be about people – that’s another idea.
The initial cost would be the re-usable frames to accommodate seasonal photos that would be submitted by the public.
A committee of volunteers could keep the wall current.
The chosen photos would need to be enlarged, of course.
This wall presents endless opportunities.
