The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA) wants to hear from its patients.
Officials at CKHA have launched a new patient experience survey across the hospital, supporting the strategic plan focus: “Our Focus is YOU.”
This survey is designed to collect timely, direct feedback about a patient’s hospital stay following their discharge, officials said.
The results will provide the organization with real, patient-focused data, which will be shared with leaders across CKHA to directly influence continuous improvement efforts.
“The patient experience survey helps us better understand care from the patient’s point of view,” said Fannie Vavoulis, director of communications and patient experience at CKHA, in a media release. “Every response matters because it shows us what’s working and where we need to do better. Most importantly, it helps ensure our improvements are guided by the voices of the people we serve.”
Upon registration, patients are asked for their email address and consent for CKHA to email the patient the survey. Four or five days after discharge, patients can expect a survey to be emailed to them from experience@ckha.on.ca.
The data collected will help make care better and guide the implementation of improvements, officials said.

The Emerg Department needs to take the same survey.
