Beware of slick roads around Chatham-Kent.
The temperatures are dropping and any road salt is becoming ineffective, plus the gusting wind is blowing snow and causing drifting.
It’s gotten so bad on Queen’s Line between Chatham and Merlin Road that police have closed the major artery until further notice.
Police say the road had to be closed due to dangerously icy conditions.
Motorists are urged by the police to avoid unnecessary travel, slow down, and leave more space between you and the vehicle in front of you.
