It appears Chatham-Kent police have arrested a disruptive force, at least for residents of an apartment building in Wallaceburg.
Police made the arrest early Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of McNaughton Avenue and Gillard Street in Wallaceburg.
A 28-year-old Wallaceburg woman is charged with mischief – obstructing, interrupting or interfering with the lawful use or enjoyment or operation of property.
Police say the suspect was the subject of ongoing complaints that date back as far as April.
Reports included disturbances, property damage and threats made to residents.
Mischief
A Blenheim man faces charges in connection with property damage in Chatham.
Police say back on Sept. 12, someone was seen smashing emergency lights at a community building on Pine Street on the south side of Chatham. Police did not name the building, as they apparently consider places where such incidents occur to be victims and as such are not named.
So, at this inanimate victim location, lights were smashed.
The suspect, police say, was identified and arrested,
A Blenheim man, 19 is charged with mischief.
However, under court-imposed orders to stay away from the building as conditions of his release, police say the man was back there on Wednesday. This led to another arrest and a charge of failing to comply.
No word on if the inanimate victim (the building) suffered any damage to its inanimate objects such as emergency lighting.
