Field party assault

The Dillon Road party that saw unwanted visitors in ski masks show up also had a few dust ups, apparently.

A Blenheim teen is facing charges after someone sucker punched another party-goer and knocked out several teeth.

Police learned of this after getting a call from the emergency room of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance shortly after 2:30 a.m. Saturday morning.

The victim of the incident reported to the hospital seeking treatment for several broken and misaligned teeth. The victim indicated that he was assaulted by the accused, who approached him from behind near the driveway and began striking him in the head and face, police say.

Witnesses at the scene provided statements confirming the assault. One witness intervened during the incident. Another witness positively identified the accused as the aggressor.

Officers located the accused at his residence.

A 16-year-old Blenheim man is charged with assault causing bodily harm.
