A Chatham woman faces mischief charges after police say officers found her trying to rip off a window screen to get into a Chatham home Thursday morning.
A complaint sent the officers to Hillyard Street about 7:50 a.m. Thursday, with a report of a woman trying to get into the home.
The woman was described as wearing a grey sweater and blue jeans.
The officers pulled up and spotted a woman matching the description “actively trying to pull down a damaged window screen,” according to police.
A 31-year-old Chatham woman is charged with mischief.
