A teenager has died after two teens jumped off the Third Street Bridge into the Thames River in Chatham early Monday morning.
According to Chatham-Kent police, two girls, aged 17 and 15, leaped into the water, but the elder of the two did not resurface.
Emergency services personnel responded to the scene to search for the missing girl. A drone and boats were used in the search.
Later Monday, the body of the girl was recovered.
Police say they don’t consider the death as suspicious at this time.
