A new heritage plaque at the Buxton Museum and Historical Site in North Buxton to better reflect the true story of the Buxton settlement was recently installed at the site by the Ontario Heritage Trust.
The message on the plaque was reworked to include more accurate information.
Attending the ceremony were South Kent Coun. Anthony Ceccacci, Buxton museum curator Shannon Prince and Chatham-Kent Mayor Darrin Canniff.
