• The second summer Ghost Walk will leave from Cross St to hear about Bridget, a singing child and another who may have suffered a cruel fate, a stained glass window and a repairman’s puzzle. We meet a former worker at the Capitol Theatre with some truly hair-curling experiences to tell. • Tilbury and District Horticultural Society celebrates 40 years. Garden Tours from 10:00am-4:00pm. Tickets $30 pp. Advance tickets available at 8 Carlyle St. or at the Tilbury Legion DAY of the tour, 4 Stewart Ave. Map of the gardens available day of the tour at 9:30am at the Legion. Ticket must be shown to receive a map. Strawberry Social Tea to be held at the Legion from 2:00-4:00pm. 

• Calling all Veterans. The Chatham Legion, corner of William & Colborne St. Chatham will be hosting a Buddy Check for all Veterans from 10:00am –12:00pm. Come enjoy a coffee and talk to other Veterans. This venue is for Veterans Only.

• “Indigenous History in Canada” presented at the Spirit and Life Centre, 184 Wellington St, W., Chatham. The presenters are Tesa Fiddler and Sharon Giroux. Tesa and Sharon, educators and former presenters at the United Nations, will provide a brief historical overview of Indigenous people in Canada, highlighting key events and their ongoing impact on Indigenous communities. They will also explore the efforts of the Ontario English Catholic Teacher’s Association (OECTA) in fostering inclusive, safe and accepting educational environments for both staff and students. Participants will gain insights into the association’s initiatives, resources, and strategies aimed at promoting reconciliation and meaningful support for Indigenous perspectives within the education system. Now in its third year in Chatham-Kent, Jordan’s Run the Runway, presented by Siskinds LLP, is a one-of-a-kind fast and flat 5K run, walk, roll or pole.  To be held at the Chatham-Kent Municipal Airport from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. A rain or shine event, it is open to participants of all ages and abilities, offering an unforgettable evening of fun and celebration. Funds raised help to support financial assistance that allows low-income or vulnerable children, youth, families and seniors access to YMCA programs and services.
