Tools stolen

Sometime between Saturday at 2:30 p.m. and Monday at 8 a.m. someone entered a residence under construction on Pioneer Line, Chatham-Kent police say.

Once inside, the suspect(s) stole various tools valued at approximately $3,500.

Warrants

Last night, police responded to the report of a suspicious person on Grand Avenue East in Chatham.

Through investigation, police located a woman who was wanted for theft under $5,000, being unlawfully in a dwelling and mischief.

A32-year-old Chatham woman was arrested and released pending a future court date.

Last night, police arrested a woman who was wanted for breaching her Probation Order, theft under $5,000, failing to comply with her release conditions and failing to attend court.

A 28-year-old Chatham woman has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Driving under suspension

Last night, shortly after 10 p.m., an officer on general patrol initiated a traffic stop on Sandys Street in Blenheim.

Through investigation, the officer confirmed that the man was suspended from driving for unpaid fines.

A 26-year-old Blenheim man was charged with driving while under suspension. He will be required to attend Provincial Offences Court on May 19, 2021.
