A Sunday evening crash on Base Line at Centre Side Road saw a child air lifted to London hospital.

Chatham-Kent police say it was believed the child suffered a life-threatening injury in the accident, but add that early this morning, the kid was released from hospital.

The traffic unit is investigating. Here’s what police know: a woman was driving westbound on Base Line in a Dodge Charger when her vehicle and a GMC Sierra, which was being driven northbound on Centre Side Road by a man, collided.

Both drivers were taken to hospital, while the child, a passenger in the Charger, got airlifted to London.

Anyone with information about this accident is asked to contact Const. Dan Carroll at dancar@chatham-kent.ca or 519-352-1092.
