Before you hop into your vehicle today, check to see if your license plates are still attached.

This after a couple of vehicle owners had their plates stolen in Chatham yesterday.

The first occurred in a St. Clair Street shopping plaza parking lot. Someone stole the rear plate off a vehicle between 8 a.m. and 8:30 a.m., police say. The stolen plate is BVLC 346.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Const. K. Wright at 519-436-6600 ext. 87310. Anonymous callers may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) and may be eligible for a cash reward.

Someone parked on Thames Street yesterday had front and rear plates removed. Missing are plates CDVC 742
