Chatham-Kent OPP, police, fire and EMS officials presented the proceeds from the second annual Clash of the Sirens fitness challenge to Chatham Hope Haven recently. The emergency personnel raised nearly $5,600 with their efforts.

Proceeds from the second annual Clash of the Sirens will go towards helping homeless men in the community.

The fundraising fitness challenge between Chatham-Kent OPP, C-K police, fire and EMS took place April 20 in Chatham and raised $5,582.

Men in our community, who for different reasons find themselves without a roof over their head, have been using the haven since November when it began overnight services.

Police services sometimes know of a person in need of a safe refuge and direct them to Chatham Hope Haven, whose mission is to provide temporary refuge to men in need.

Chatham Hope Haven is funded by donations, which can be sent to the office of Chatham Hope Haven, 183 Wellington St. W., or made online through the website chathamhopehaven.com.

Any enquiries can be made at 519-351-4010.
