police cuffs

Is there a good reason for two people to be inside a high voltage compound? And we’re not talking about hydro employees.

Police say about 3:30 a.m. Tuesday, officers learned of two people being inside the Hydro One compound on Maple Leaf Drive in Chatham. The cops found two backpacks, a set of bolt cutters and a flashlight.

They found a guy hiding near a bush along the fence line, and slapped on the cuffs.

Police say the officers discovered the identity of the other person, and tracked her down by 9 a.m. on Queens Line.

A 27-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman, both of Raleigh Township, are charged with break and enter. The woman also faces a charge of failing to comply with her curfew condition.
