Rifle theft in Erieau

Chatham-Kent Police are investigating the theft of a rifle and ammunition from an Erieau residence during the last week.

Police say sometime between October 2 at 3 p.m. and October 11 at 8 p .m. unknown suspect(s) entered a residence on Mariner Line in Erieau and stole an over/under style Savage rifle capable of firing both single .22 caliber bullets and 410 shotgun shells. 

The rifle had a black/green composite body and was stored in a grey fabric Plano Gun Guard case. 

A box of 200 .22 caliber bullets, box of 25 .410 caliber shotgun shells and 40” Proscan flat-screen TV was also stolen.
