Catching 40 winks in someone else’s backyard earned a Chatham man a cot in a jail cell Sunday.
Police say officers responded to a call at a Queen Street home in Chatham in regards to an intoxicated man slumbering in the backyard of a home. Police learned the man had outstanding warrants.
A 24-year-old Chatham man faces charges of theft and possession of stolen goods, as well as failure to appear in court.
