His hat is off his head, but Ian McLarty has yet to officially throw it into the electoral ring.
McLarty, who ran for mayor in the 2010 municipal election, said he picked up his nomination papers yesterday, but doesn’t anticipate filing them until “probably next week sometime” to again run for the municipality’s top political position.
The Eberts businessman placed third in 2010, behind Randy Hope and former Wallaceburg Coun. Tom McGregor.
Hope has stated he plans on seeking re-election, but likely won’t file officially until September. Chatham Coun. Marjorie Crew registered to run for mayor in late March.
