A 29-year-old woman faces charges of assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest and being intoxicated in a public place in connection with an incident in Wallaceburg Sunday night.
Chatham-Kent police responded to a complaint about 11 p.m. Sunday of a drunken person laying on Dufferin Avenue in Wallaceburg. Police say they found a woman and went to arrest her.
Police say the woman resisted arrest and assaulted one of the officers, who sustained minor injuries.
