Chatham-Kent Police are investigating after a man was robbed at knifepoint late Friday night.

Police say a 19-year-old man was walking on Edgar Street in Chatham about 11:45 p.m. when another man rode up to the victim on a mountain bike, brandished a knife and demanded the victim’s wallet.

The victim refused, police say, and was then threatened, resulting in him handing over some cash. The suspect fled on the bike.

The suspect is described as a white male in his early to mid 20s. He was last seen riding a mountain bike and sporting a blue and white plaid checkered shirt, blue jeans and a dark-coloured baseball cap. He also had a goatee.
