Habitat for Humanity Chatham-Kent will benefit from a grant of nearly $2,600 from the Realtors Care Foundation, a move endorsed by local realtors.

“We are extremely honoured by the willingness of the Chatham-Kent Association of Realtors to support our work of providing safe, decent, affordable housing to local families in need” said Nancy McDowell, executive director of Habitat for Humanity Chatham-Kent in a press release.  “These funds provide a tremendous boost to our fundraising efforts as we take the necessary steps to open a Habitat ReStore and build more homes for local families in need.”

The Association of Realtors has provided support in the form of funding and volunteer hours to Habitat for Humanity since its inception in 2009.
