A 45-year-old Chatham man is facing multiple charges in connection with a late-night domestic dispute in town.
Chatham-Kent police responded to a call about midnight. A woman reported she’d been pushed by her common-law spouse during an argument. Police say the dispute escalated when the man threw a cell phone and threatened her.
The victim also revealed there had been a previous assault, police say.
A half an hour later, police made an arrest. The man is charges with assault with a weapon, uttering threats, and two counts of assault.
