A Ridgetown man faces serious charges after someone freaked out while getting terminated from their job Tuesday morning.
Chatham-Kent police say a man was informed he was being let go from a James Street business in Blenheim.
He didn’t take it well.
Police say he became agitated and refused to leave. When confronted by two supervisors, things got physical.
The man used a knife and a hatchet during the scuffle, resulting in multiple wounds to both supervisors, police say.
A witness called police about 8:30 a.m. to report the matter.
Both victims were treated for non-life-threatening injuries, while the accused was also treated before being transported to police headquarters.
A 36-year-old Ridgetown man is charged with two counts of assault causing bodily harm, one count of using a weapon in a dangerous manner, and attempted murder.
