A Ridgetown man faces impaired driving following a single-vehicle crash on Highway 401 Monday afternoon.
Police say the crash took place about 3:15 p.m. in the westbound lanes. A passenger vehicle pulling a trailer was involved.
Police say two people were in the vehicle, but no one suffered serious injuries.
When speaking with the driver, police say an officer noticed signs of impairment and did an on-site breath test, which was a failure.
A 61-year-old Ridgetown man is charged with impaired driving and having a blood-alcohol concentration 80-plus.
As a result of the collision, for safety of emergency personnel and safe removal of the involved vehicles, police opted to close one lane of the highway for clean up and investigative purposes.
