Robbery charges

On Thursday night, Chatham-Kent police responded to a mugging on Lorne Avenue in Chatham as a 25-year-old man was struck with a small bat while the suspects stole his bicycle and a bag containing his phone.

Through investigation, police identified the men believe to be responsible and they were arrested.

An 18-year-old Chatham man was charged with robbery and obstruct peace officer after falsely identifying himself to police.

A 19-year-old Chatham man was also charged with robbery.

Disturbance

On Thursday afternoon, police responded to a disturbance at a business on Wellington Street in Chatham where a man was running up and down the aisles yelling and shouting.

The man exited the business and ran across the street into another business.  While in the second business, the man continued to yell and shout, police say.

Officers located the man and he was arrested.
A 31-year-old Chatham man is charged with causing a disturbance.

Family feud

Yesterday afternoon, police responded to a family dispute in Chatham. Through investigation, police say they learned that a woman damaged four windows at her mother’s residence.

A 22-year-old Chatham woman was located a short distance away and arrested. She has been charged with mischief.

Vehicle stolen in Wallaceburg

Yesterday morning, a 4-door silver 2008 Honda Civic was stolen from a residence on Fraser Street in Wallaceburg.

The vehicle is described as having a dark window tint with a loud exhaust system and was last seen with Ontario license plates ATER 475.
