Chatham-Kent police report officers had to use a Taser to subdue someone outside the hospital early this morning.
According to police, officers got the call about 3 a.m. of a man causing a disturbance at the hospital in Chatham.
Officers went to arrest the man in the Emergency Room area, but he resisted arrest. After a brief struggle, the officers took the man outside, where police say he kicked an officer.
At this point in time, police say one of the officers used the Taser to subdue the man.
A 31-year-old man of no fixed address is charged with causing a disturbance, resist arrest, assault police and breaching his release conditions by using methamphetamine, police say.
