Rolling, rolling, arrested

Chatham-Kent police investigated a weird one on the weekend. On Saturday afternoon shortly before 5 p.m., officers were called to two crashes on Tecumseh Line at Merlin Road.

As the officers investigated, they learned a driver and passenger had been eastbound on Tecumseh Line when that vehicle rolled.

The men got out of that ride and broke into a nearby residence, police say, and stole a second vehicle.

That one also rolled, just a few hundred metres away.

Police say two men were taken to hospital for medical care, and were also arrested.

The men, 33 and 36, from Toronto, face charges of break and enter, theft of a motor vehicle and possession of stolen property.

Officers also found a prohibited weapon on one man, so the 33 year old also faces a charge of possession of a prohibited weapon.
