The past 24 hours saw 10 people arrested in Chatham for a variety of infractions.

Included in those was the arrest of a man from the Chatham-Kent police’s Wanted List.

Police say they received a tip the man was at a Richmond Street business in Chatham about 11:30 p.m. last night. Officers stopped by and slapped on the steel bracelets.

A search revealed a quantity of oxycodone.

A 41-year-old Dresden man faces charges of theft, breach of probation, failing to comply and drug possession.

Police responded to a break-in report last night in Chatham Township.

The investigating officer learned the suspect was someone who knew the homeowner.

A 20-year-old Bothwell woman is charged with break and enter.

Two young men who weren’t supposed to associate with one another were – wait for it – hanging out together last night.

Police got a tip the two fellows, who were bound by conditions to not associate with one another, were indeed together.

A 23-year-old man of no fixed address and a 24-year-old Chatham man are charged with failing to comply.

Officers tracked down a man who allegedly kicked the crap out of a coworker’s car in late November.

Police say a disagreement between the two led to about $1,000 in damage.

Officers found the suspect last night.

A 58-year-old Chatham Township man is charged with mischief.

Police caught up to a woman suspected of slugging another woman in late December.

According to police, on Dec. 28, the two women began to argue, but it turned physical.

Officers last night charged a 30-year-old Chatham woman with assault causing bodily harm.

Police are looking for whoever smashed in the rear door of a hair salon on Taylor Avenue last night.

The culprit did about $1,000 in damage, police say.

Sometime late Monday night or early Tuesday morning, someone got into an unlocked utility trailer on Queen’s Line and stole two bags of scrap brass, two pails of scrap copper, and a Stihl chainsaw.

Total value of the theft is estimated at $700.

In another case of failing to lock up, someone got into an unlocked apartment on Adelaide Street North in Chatham and stole an Xbox gaming system sometime between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Yesterday morning, a man wanted in connection with a disturbance involving two people known to him attended police headquarters and turned himself in.

The 25-year-old Dawn Euphemia man was arrested and charged with assault and uttering threats.

Last night, police attended Wal-Mart in Chatham in regard to a shoplifting complaint. Officers located the man inside the store and he was charged under the Trespass to Property Act.

Through investigation, police learned that he was also wanted by the London Police Service.

The 34-year-old Chatham man was arrested and turned over to officers from London for court purposes.

Last night, police responded to a noise complaint in Wallaceburg.

Through investigation, police located the man responsible. He was arrested and charged with being intoxicated in a public place.

The 32-year-old Wallaceburg man was released this morning.
