An evening drive turned into jail time for a couple of Chatham residents.
Police say an officer on patrol pulled a vehicle over on Prince Albert Road last night and learned the driver was in breach of release conditions.
The officer also found a knife near the driver’s seat.
A 35-year-old Chatham woman is charged with disobeying a court order and possession of a prohibited weapon.
The passenger was also found to be in breach of his release conditions, police say.
A 38-year-old Chatham man is charged with failing to comply.
To top it off, police say the officer found crystal meth in the vehicle. Both also face possession charges.
