Dog lovers across Chatham-Kent won’t want to miss the I Love Dogs Festival being held July 23 in Tecumseh Park hosted by CK Animal Rescue.

People and their pets are invited to come out and participate 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. All money raised will go to CK Animal Rescue, a local registered non-profit organization.

About 30 to 40 pet and non-pet vendors will be on hand, showcasing homemade dog treats, customizable jewelry, stained glass, dog bandanas, caps and visors, organic dog treats and much more. Several food vendors will be on hand as well.

Two agility courses, one lure course, and an off-leash area for dogs will be available, along with ear cleaning/nail clipping, photo booth, fancy feathers for dogs, doggie tattoos, nail painting, raffle table, doggie clothing, leashes, collars, and contests (best dressed, owner/dog look-a-like, best trick), plus a games area and scavenger hunt.

Admission is one canned good item per family for the local Chatham food bank.
