From MPP Dave Van Kesteren’s office:

With an eighty percent chance of thunderstorms on Friday morning, the organizers of the Canada Day in Tecumseh Park are moving the celebration indoors to yjr Cultural Centre to ensure a safe and enjoyable event.

“We have such a great line up of fascinating stories to share about our community, and so many volunteers have come together to make this happen on such short notice, that we are determined to ensure that “that the show must go on” said organizing host Chatham-Kent-Leamington MP Dave Van Kesteren.

“Given the universal weather predictions for rain and thunder storm in the morning, public safety and common sense dictates that we need to change the venue in enough time for people to adjust their plans.  People can forget their chairs and sunscreen and sit comfortably in the theatre and enjoy fascinating stories about our community”

More information will be posted on the event’s Facebook page. “Canada Day in Tecumseh Park 2016”
