On Sept. 28, runners and walkers from across the municipality – and a growing number from outside of Chatham-Kent – will take part in the Chatham-Kent Harvest Run.
Participants will assemble at John McGregor Secondary School near Mud Creek to participate in a 5K walk or run, a 10K run, a Kid’s Dash and, new for 2014, a half marathon.
In three short years, thanks to the generous support of many sponsors – including the event’s lead sponsor GreenField Ethanol – this WRACE chip-timed event has raised more than $42,000 to support UWOCK’s many locally funded agencies, programs and services.
Serious runners and walkers, beginners, kids, families and employee groups have been and will again be treated to a morning of fun, food, entertainment, race buffs, finisher medals, prizes and surprises galore.
There is a reduced rate for those registering before Sept. 6. To take advantage of this early rate please visit www.ckharvestrun.com or contact the United Way at 519-354-0430 or info@uwock.ca.
