Museum gets $50K infusion

As part of the Rural Ontario Development (ROD) program, the Chatham-Kent Museum will benefit from $50,000 in funding.

The funds will specifically support the exhibition and interpretive plan for the museum.

“Rural communities are the backbone of Ontario’s economy, and our government is committed to ensuring they have the tools and resources needed to grow and succeed,” said Trevor Jones, MPP for Chatham-Kent–Leamington, in a media release. “These investments will help strengthen our local economy, support job creation, enhance tourism opportunities and preserve important community assets, in addition, this funding will help create lasting opportunities for residents, businesses and visitors across Chatham-Kent–Leamington.”

Through the first intake of the ROD program, the province is investing more than $5.5 million in 116 projects across rural Ontario.
