A Wheatley man is fighting for his life in the wake of a car crash near Wheatley Friday afternoon.
Police say the crash took place about 4:30 p.m. Friday on Erie Street South.
A vehicle, driven by a 57-year-old Wheatley an, hit a berm and went airborne before landing on the beach.
The driver suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to Leamington hospital for treatment and later transferred to Windsor.
Erie Street was closed for several hours as police investigated. They’re still looking into the matter.
