Why are you running?
I’m running because I believe Ward 1 deserves a strong, practical voice at council – someone who will listen, ask questions, do the homework and speak up for our communities. I’m not running because I have all the answers; I’m running because I care about where we live and want to help get the basics right.
What are the two biggest issues for the next term of council?
Infrastructure and fiscal responsibility. Chatham-Kent has a significant infrastructure backlog, while taxpayers are already facing rising costs. We need to address roads, bridges, drainage, water and wastewater while finding savings, efficiencies and better ways of doing business. We also need to advocate strongly for our share of provincial and federal funding.
What do you hope to achieve if elected?
I want to help get council back to basics – prioritizing core services and infrastructure, reviewing spending, reducing unnecessary red tape and making decisions based on common sense and value for taxpayers. I also want Ward 1’s rural and smaller communities to have a strong voice.
What skills and experience do you bring?
As an operations and production manager, I bring experience managing people, budgets, production, logistics and day-to-day challenges. I’m used to solving problems, making decisions, working within constraints and being accountable for results. I believe those practical skills translate well to municipal government.
Are you a fan of Donald Trump? No.
