The Grow Seeds Library returns to the Chatham-Kent Public Library this fall.
Featuring fall native plants, the seed library opens Sept. 8 at all library branches across the municipality.
Libraries will have a small variety of native plant seeds available for check out. The seed library contains seeds for plants native to Ontario and Canada. Many are popular local plants including Black-Eyed Susan, Butterfly Weed, Swamp and Common Milkweed, Purple Coneflower, and New England Asters are included.
CKPL’s Seed Library provides free seeds for residents to borrow so they can grow healthy gardens, have access to affordable flowers, and can create beautiful spaces in their own backyards and communities. All you need is a valid CKPL library card, and you can check out five packages of seeds.
