Editor: I read on some social platforms that Canadians are increasingly taking out loans to help pay for their groceries and living expenses. Thank God our municipal councillors in Chatham-Kent had the prescience to give themselves a 20-per-cent raise in salary so they wouldn’t have to do the same.
I sure wish we pensioners had the same option, eh?
