Not so joyful of a ride

A woman faces charges after someone stole a vehicle from a business in Wallaceburg Wednesday afternoon.

Police learned of the theft from a business on Base Line Road shortly before 4 p.m.

Two minutes later, an officer spotted the vehicle headed north on McNaughton Avenue, and pulled it over.

A 32-year-old woman is charged with theft, two counts of possession of stolen property, theft of a motor vehicle, and driving while under suspension.

Threats to family members

A Chatham man is up on charges after a family argument in a vehicle Wednesday morning.

Police say the argument took place as the family was driving on Charing Cross Road shortly before 10:15 a.m.

The accused became agitated, police say, threatened the occupants several times, and was driving erratically.

A 44-year-old Chatham man is charged with four counts of uttering threats to cause death.
