Cyber-punk meets Curious George

Curious George climbs into the Capitol Theatre over March Break.

The performance of “Curious George and the Golden Meatball” takes place March 20 at 3:30 p.m.

Inspired by the books of Margret and H.A. Rey and the stage adaptation produced by Universal Stage Productions, this high‑energy musical invites families on a globe‑trotting adventure filled with laughter, heart, and irresistible music.

Director and Co‑Choreographer Isaiah C.L. Harris leads the creative vision, infusing the production with a vibrant, tech‑forward aesthetic.

The team set out to honor George’s legacy, “while expanding it with our signature Wishing Star edge… dropping our favorite troublemaker into a bold cyberpunk world where curiosity cuts through the neon, noise, and kitchen madness,” Harris said in a media release.

Audiences can expect dazzling costumes, a tech‑heavy set, and a dynamic urban landscape that transforms George’s curiosity into a superpower all its own.
